Departing Broome, track North across King Sound, home to Australia's largest tides, fly over Walcott Inlet, the rarely seen Harding Range and the Prince Regent River. Landing at Mitchell Plateau airstrip, you will be met and hosted by Kingfisher Tour's local aboriginal guide.

Your Kingfisher guide will drive you in an airconditioned 4WD along one of the most remote tracks in Australia, lined with ancient Livistona Palms. Arrive at Merten’s Campground, the start of the 4.5km Punamii-Uunpuu Hiking Trail. Here, you’ll enjoy a tea or coffee and some freshly made damper before jumping in a helicopter for an exhilarating mini scenic ride to the top of the falls.

Admire the view, take photos and hear the geological and cultural history of the area. After soaking in the majesty of these 4-tiered falls, you’ll start the trek down. You’ll cross the Mitchell River, see ancient rock art sites, be guided through spell binding gorges and have the opportunity to swim. Your guide will share ancient generational wisdom you; through the interpretations of the rock art, teach you about the local bush tucker and medicines and storytelling.

This is an exciting trek, with water crossing, rock hopping and some climbing but rest assured your guide will be there helping you where and if you need. Along the trail there’s countless extraordinary spots to sit and relax for lunch too! Back down at the campground your guide will chauffeur you back along the 4WD track to the airstrip will you start your homeward scenic flight.

Track the coastline past Kuri Bay, home to the Paspaley Pearl Farm and the beautiful Montgomery Reef. Fly over Horizontal Waterfalls described by Sir David Attenborough as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Marvel at the stunning Buccaneer Archipelago and it's 1,000 islands and the stunning northern tip of the Dampier Peninsula, Cape Leveque. Coastal return flight along the bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula with views of Beagle Bay, James Price Point, Willie Creek Pearl Farm and world-famous Cable Beach as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.
